Introduction

In the pharmaceutical industry, it is essential that drugs reach patients without any loss or alteration of their therapeutic properties. To maintain product quality, special care must be taken to protect them from adverse transportation conditions. Factors such as temperature, pressure, and vibrations must be carefully evaluated and controlled to ensure stability throughout the distribution process.

Goal

Provide DelSiTech with a device to demonstrate product stability during transport by verifying that the prefilled syringe drug product remains within established quality specifications after exposure to simulated transportation vibrations. These simulations should represent air, road, and combined transit conditions, reflecting either worst-case distribution scenarios or realistic shipping profiles encountered during air and ground transport.

Results

Assisted DelSiTech in acquiring an electrodynamic vibration table that fulfills specified testing requirements. The system can generate controlled random vibration profiles across three axes, enabling the simulation of transportation conditions associated with both air and ground transit. The device is equipped with dedicated fixtures for secure sample mounting and an accelerometer to facilitate accurate calibration of vibration inputs.
